These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Pdleye video recording, match delivery, highlights, artificial intelligence analysis, livestreaming and related services (“Services”).
The Services are operated by KLL Trading LLC-FZ, a company registered and licensed in the United Arab Emirates (“Pdleye”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, requesting a recording, receiving a match recording or otherwise interacting with Pdleye, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Pdleye Service
Pdleye provides technology that enables participating sports clubs and venues (“Venues”) to offer video-related services on equipped courts.
Depending on the Venue and available features, Services may include:
- full match recordings;
- manually triggered highlights;
- automatically generated highlights;
- AI-assisted match analysis and statistics;
- video download and sharing functionality;
- livestreaming;
- tournament and event video services; and
- other video and technology-enabled services.
Available features, recording duration, pricing and delivery methods may vary between Venues.
2. Video-Enabled Courts
Courts equipped with the Pdleye system may be video recorded.
Prominent signage may be displayed at or before entry to an equipped court informing players that video recording is in operation.
By entering and using a clearly identified video-enabled court, you acknowledge that:
- your image and sporting activity may be captured on video;
- a match recording will normally contain other participants;
- recordings may be temporarily stored for the purpose of providing match recordings, highlights and related Services;
- a recording of the match may be made available to an authorised participant of that match upon request; and
- the recording will be processed in accordance with the applicable Privacy Notice.
If you do not agree to being recorded on a video-enabled court, you should not use that court and should contact the Venue before participating.
Where applicable law requires an additional consent, authorisation or other legal basis, the Venue is responsible for ensuring the applicable requirements relating to recording activities at its premises are satisfied.
3. Venue and Pdleye Roles
The Venue determines whether the Pdleye recording system is operated at its premises and controls access to its courts.
Where Pdleye processes court recordings solely on behalf of a Venue and according to its instructions, the Venue acts as the relevant Data Controller and Pdleye acts as a Data Processor.
For certain activities carried out directly by Pdleye — including administration of the Pdleye platform, direct customer support, payment processing, security, fraud prevention and optional services purchased directly from Pdleye — Pdleye may act as a separate Data Controller.
Further information is provided in the Pdleye Privacy Policy.
4. Requesting a Recording
The method for requesting a recording may vary by Venue.
A request may be made through:
- WhatsApp;
- a QR-enabled flow;
- an authorised physical court button;
- Venue reception;
- a private web interface; or
- another method authorised by Pdleye or the Venue.
A request for a recording does not give a user unrestricted access to footage from the Venue.
Pdleye may implement technical or operational measures to verify that a request relates to a legitimate court session.
These measures may include a physical court action, a temporary authorisation window, WhatsApp-number association, session identifiers or other access controls.
5. Authorised Access
You may request or access a match recording only if:
- you participated in the relevant match;
- you have been expressly authorised by a participant of that match; or
- the Venue has expressly authorised your access for a legitimate purpose.
You must not intentionally request, obtain, access or attempt to access recordings of unrelated players or matches.
You must not:
- use saved QR or WhatsApp information to obtain recordings of unrelated matches;
- bypass Pdleye access controls;
- impersonate another participant;
- provide false information to obtain footage;
- interfere with cameras, buttons, networking equipment or other Pdleye systems;
- attempt to obtain unauthorised access to stored recordings; or
- use automated systems to scrape, index or collect recordings.
Pdleye may refuse a request, disable access, suspend use of the Service or take other reasonable steps where misuse is suspected.
6. Physical Court Authorisation
At Venues where a physical authorisation mechanism is used, a user may be required to press a designated button or perform another action physically available at the court before requesting a recording.
The authorisation may remain valid only for a short period.
A previous or saved WhatsApp message, QR code or court identifier does not by itself create an ongoing right to access recordings.
7. Recordings Containing Other Participants
Padel and other sports matches normally involve multiple people. Therefore, a recording requested by one participant will normally contain images of the other participants in the same match.
A match recording may be provided to an authorised participant of that same match as part of the intended functionality of the Service, subject to applicable law and the Venue's recording arrangements.
Receiving a recording does not give the recipient ownership of, or unrestricted rights over, the image, privacy or publicity rights of other persons appearing in it.
8. Downloading, Forwarding and Publishing Recordings
Once an authorised user receives or downloads a recording, that user is responsible for any subsequent use of the recording.
If you download, forward, post, publish, broadcast or otherwise distribute a recording, you are responsible for ensuring that your use:
- complies with applicable law;
- respects the privacy and other rights of people appearing in the recording; and
- does not falsely imply endorsement by another participant, Venue or Pdleye.
Pdleye is not responsible for a user's independent publication, forwarding or other use of a recording after it has been lawfully delivered to that user, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Highlights
Where a court button or other highlight feature is available, pressing it may identify or save a short period of footage occurring immediately before or around the activation time.
The precise duration and availability of highlights may vary by Venue and configuration.
The highlight function does not guarantee that every requested moment will be successfully generated or delivered.
10. Temporary Recording and Retention
Pdleye is designed to minimise unnecessary retention of court footage.
Depending on Venue configuration, video may be held temporarily on recording equipment or associated infrastructure for a limited rolling period.
Unrequested footage is automatically deleted according to the applicable Venue configuration. The maximum standard temporary retention period is generally no longer than 48 hours, and some Venues may use substantially shorter periods.
Where a recording is specifically requested, the relevant footage may be transferred to Pdleye infrastructure for processing and delivery.
Requested recordings may be retained for a different period where necessary to:
- provide the requested Service;
- allow download or access;
- resolve technical issues or customer requests;
- comply with applicable law; or
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Retention periods may therefore differ between unrequested temporary footage and requested recordings.
11. No Public Recording Library
Unless expressly stated for a particular event or Venue, Pdleye does not operate the Service as a public searchable archive of court recordings.
Private match recordings should not be assumed to be publicly accessible.
Public livestreams, competitions, tournaments or specifically designated public-media events may be subject to separate terms and notices.
12. Audio
Unless expressly disclosed otherwise for a particular event or service, ordinary Pdleye court recording is intended to operate without continuous audio recording.
Where audio is enabled for a specific event, livestream, commentary service or other authorised purpose, additional notice or consent requirements may apply.
13. AI Analysis
Pdleye may offer optional AI-enabled analysis of supported recordings.
AI outputs may include statistics, rally information, player-position information, tactical observations, automatically generated highlights or other performance-related information.
AI outputs are generated using automated systems and may contain inaccuracies.
They should not be treated as official sporting decisions, professional coaching advice or guaranteed factual determinations unless Pdleye expressly states otherwise.
Optional AI services may be subject to separate charges.
14. Marketing and Promotional Use
The provision of a match recording does not automatically grant Pdleye permission to use identifiable player footage for advertising or promotional purposes.
Where Pdleye wishes to use identifiable footage for its own marketing, advertising or promotional campaigns, Pdleye will obtain any separate permission or rely on another lawful basis where required by applicable law.
The Venue may have its own separate media or promotional arrangements with its customers. Those arrangements are the responsibility of the Venue.
Pdleye may use anonymised, aggregated or non-identifying information for analytics, service improvement and legitimate business purposes where permitted by law.
15. Club and Sponsor Branding
Recordings and highlights may contain:
- Pdleye branding;
- Venue branding;
- tournament branding;
- scoreboards;
- graphical overlays; or
- sponsor branding authorised under the applicable commercial arrangements.
The presence of such branding does not transfer ownership of the underlying footage or third-party intellectual property.
16. Payments
Some Services may be provided free of charge, included in a Venue booking or membership, charged by the Venue, or charged directly by Pdleye.
Pricing displayed at the time of purchase or communicated by the Venue applies to that transaction.
Pdleye may change pricing for future transactions or subscriptions.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Pdleye does not normally receive or store full payment-card details.
17. Refunds and Technical Failure
Once recording or processing has begun, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Pdleye confirms that a material technical failure prevented delivery of the purchased Service.
Pdleye may, at its discretion, provide:
- a refund;
- a service credit;
- a replacement recording where technically possible; or
- another reasonable remedy.
Requests relating to a technical failure should be submitted promptly after the affected session.
18. Service Availability
Pdleye relies on cameras, local networks, internet connectivity, cloud infrastructure, WhatsApp and other third-party systems.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Recordings or highlights may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, incomplete or affected by:
- internet failure;
- power interruption;
- equipment malfunction;
- camera obstruction;
- lighting or weather conditions;
- third-party platform outages;
- maintenance;
- player interference with equipment; or
- circumstances outside Pdleye's reasonable control.
19. Intellectual Property
The Pdleye platform, software, interfaces, branding, algorithms, workflows, graphics and system design are owned by or licensed to Pdleye and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Users receive only the limited right necessary to use the Services in accordance with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms gives a user the right to copy, reverse engineer, modify, interfere with or commercially exploit Pdleye technology.
20. Personal Use of Match Recordings
Subject to the rights of other persons appearing in a recording, an authorised participant may ordinarily download and use their delivered match recording for personal purposes.
Commercial exploitation, broadcasting, resale or other commercial use may require additional rights or permissions.
21. Children and Minors
Children and minors may be subject to additional privacy and consent requirements.
A parent, legal guardian, Venue or event organiser may be required to provide the applicable permission before recording, accessing or publicly using footage involving minors.
Pdleye or a Venue may restrict certain features involving minors where appropriate.
22. Privacy
Personal Data is processed in accordance with the Pdleye Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Users may contact Pdleye regarding privacy, access, deletion or other data-related requests using the contact details below.
23. Suspension and Termination
Pdleye may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to:
- protect users or Personal Data;
- investigate suspected misuse;
- secure the Service;
- comply with law or a regulatory request;
- protect Venue or Pdleye systems; or
- enforce these Terms.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pdleye is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the Service.
Pdleye is not responsible for:
- independent acts of users after receiving a recording;
- Venue booking decisions or Venue operations;
- inaccurate information supplied by users;
- unauthorised access caused by a user's intentional sharing of a private link;
- third-party service outages; or
- events outside Pdleye's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
25. Changes to These Terms
Pdleye may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, technology, law or regulatory requirements.
The current version will be published on the Pdleye website with the applicable “Last Updated” date.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applicable in the Emirate of Dubai.
Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction imposed by applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
