This Privacy Policy explains how KLL Trading LLC-FZ, operating the Pdleye service (“Pdleye”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, shares and protects Personal Data.
Pdleye provides video recording, match delivery, highlights, artificial intelligence analysis, livestreaming and related technology services to sports clubs and their customers.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with the Pdleye Terms of Service and any privacy notice displayed at the relevant Venue.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Data processed through:
- Pdleye-equipped courts;
- the Pdleye website;
- WhatsApp interactions with Pdleye;
- private match pages;
- Pdleye AI services;
- payment and subscription services;
- customer support;
- tournament and livestreaming services; and
- related Pdleye systems.
2. Who Is Responsible for Your Personal Data?
The role of Pdleye may differ depending on the processing activity.
Court Recording
Where a sports club or Venue chooses to operate the Pdleye recording system at its premises and determines the purpose for which the court is recorded, the Venue may act as the Data Controller and Pdleye may process the footage on the Venue's behalf as a Data Processor.
The Venue is responsible for the recording environment at its premises, including providing applicable notices and obtaining any consent or other authorisation required by law.
Direct Pdleye Services
Pdleye may act as a separate Data Controller when Personal Data is processed for purposes determined directly by Pdleye, including:
- customer support;
- platform security;
- fraud and misuse prevention;
- direct payments to Pdleye;
- administration of optional AI services;
- compliance with legal obligations; and
- management of Pdleye's website and communications.
3. Personal Data We May Process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
Video Data
- your image;
- movements on court;
- sporting activity;
- match footage;
- highlights;
- images of other participants appearing in the same recording.
Contact and Service Data
- WhatsApp telephone number;
- messages sent to the Pdleye bot or support team;
- court and Venue identifiers;
- recording request time;
- selected recording duration;
- match/session identifier;
- download and delivery information;
- support communications.
Technical Data
- IP address where applicable;
- device/browser information;
- access timestamps;
- security and system logs;
- private-link activity;
- diagnostic information.
Transaction Data
Where a service is purchased directly from Pdleye, we may process:
- transaction status;
- purchase amount;
- selected product;
- payment reference;
- subscription information.
Full payment-card details are normally handled by the applicable payment provider rather than stored by Pdleye.
AI and Performance Data
Where an AI feature is requested, we may derive information from the recording, such as:
- player and ball positioning;
- rally information;
- detected events;
- performance statistics;
- movement information;
- highlights;
- tactical or analytical outputs.
4. How Court Recording Works
Pdleye cameras may operate using temporary rolling video storage.
This means that footage may be captured and held temporarily even where no player ultimately requests a copy.
Temporary footage is used for the limited purpose of enabling participants to obtain recordings and related video services.
Where no recording is requested, temporary footage is automatically deleted according to the applicable Venue configuration.
The standard maximum temporary retention period is generally no longer than 48 hours, although certain Venues may use substantially shorter periods, including deletion shortly after completion of a game.
Not all footage recorded by a camera is necessarily transferred to Pdleye's cloud infrastructure.
Where a recording is requested, the relevant footage may be transferred for processing, delivery, highlights, AI analysis or another requested Service.
5. Purpose of Processing
Personal Data may be processed to:
- provide requested match recordings;
- create and deliver highlights;
- operate court recording systems;
- identify the relevant Venue, court and session;
- deliver recordings through WhatsApp or private web pages;
- provide optional AI analysis;
- process payments;
- provide customer support;
- prevent unauthorised access and misuse;
- investigate technical failures;
- maintain and secure Pdleye infrastructure;
- comply with legal obligations;
- respond to lawful requests;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
- improve the reliability and functionality of the Service using appropriately limited or anonymised information where possible.
6. Legal Basis
Personal Data will be processed only where permitted under applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on:
- your consent;
- a request by you for a Pdleye service;
- steps necessary to provide a requested service;
- obligations arising from the Venue's operation of a video-enabled court;
- a lawful instruction from a Venue acting as Data Controller;
- compliance with applicable legal obligations;
- protection of legal rights; or
- another lawful basis available under applicable UAE law.
Where consent is legally required, the relevant Controller is responsible for ensuring that an appropriate form of consent is obtained.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to treat a single participant as giving consent on behalf of other competent adult participants.
7. Notice at Video-Enabled Courts
Pdleye and participating Venues may display prominent signage before or at entry to video-enabled courts.
Such signage may inform users that:
- video recording is in operation;
- recordings are temporarily stored;
- a recording may be provided to a participant of the relevant match;
- unrequested footage is automatically deleted;
- additional information is available through this Privacy Policy.
If you do not wish to be recorded, you should not enter or use a clearly identified video-enabled court and should contact the Venue before participating.
8. Access to Match Recordings
Pdleye does not intend private match footage to function as a publicly searchable recording archive.
Access may be restricted using measures such as:
- physical court buttons;
- time-limited authorisation;
- WhatsApp-number association;
- session identifiers;
- private links; and
- other technical controls.
A person should request a recording only where they participated in the match or are otherwise legitimately authorised to receive it.
9. Recordings Containing Multiple People
A match recording will normally contain several participants.
A recording requested by an authorised participant may therefore contain the Personal Data of the other participants in that match.
This is disclosed as part of the intended operation of the recording service.
Receiving the recording does not grant the recipient unrestricted rights to publish or commercially exploit the image of other participants.
10. Sharing by Users
After Pdleye lawfully provides a recording to an authorised user, that person may technically be able to download, forward or publish the file.
Any subsequent independent sharing by that user is outside Pdleye's direct control.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their subsequent use of recordings complies with applicable privacy, image, publicity and other laws.
11. Who We May Share Personal Data With
Where necessary for operation of the Service, Personal Data may be processed by or disclosed to:
- the Venue operating the relevant court;
- hosting and cloud-infrastructure providers;
- messaging and communication providers, including WhatsApp service providers;
- payment processors;
- technical support and IT providers;
- analytics or security providers;
- professional advisers;
- competent authorities where required by law; and
- other processors or service providers necessary to provide the requested Service.
We require service providers handling Personal Data on our behalf to process it only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards.
Pdleye does not sell Personal Data to advertisers.
12. International and Cross-Border Processing
Some technology providers used to deliver the Service may process or host information outside the United Arab Emirates.
Where Personal Data is transferred outside the UAE, Pdleye will implement the safeguards required by applicable law.
The location of processing may depend on the infrastructure and service providers used at the relevant time.
13. Retention
We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and applicable legal requirements.
Unrequested Court Footage
Automatically deleted according to Venue configuration, generally within a maximum temporary rolling period of 48 hours, and potentially much sooner.
Requested Match Recordings
May be retained for the period required to process and deliver the recording and for a limited availability period afterwards.
Highlights and AI Outputs
May be retained where required to deliver the requested service or where the user or Venue continues to use the relevant feature.
Customer Support and Transaction Records
May be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or compliance with law.
Where data is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.
14. Security
Pdleye uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect Personal Data against:
- unauthorised access;
- accidental loss;
- misuse;
- unauthorised disclosure;
- alteration; and
- destruction.
Measures may include:
- access controls;
- private links;
- time-limited access mechanisms;
- authentication of administrative access;
- encryption where appropriate;
- logging;
- network security;
- restricted employee access;
- automatic retention controls;
- monitoring and system maintenance.
No technology system can provide absolute security, but Pdleye seeks to use measures proportionate to the nature of the Personal Data and risks involved.
15. Audio
Ordinary Pdleye court recording is intended to operate without continuous audio recording unless a Venue or event expressly enables an audio-related service.
Where audio is enabled for livestreaming, commentary or another specific purpose, additional notices or permissions may apply.
16. Marketing
Pdleye does not treat use of a video-enabled court as automatic consent for identifiable footage to be used in Pdleye advertising.
Where identifiable player footage is to be used by Pdleye for advertising or promotional purposes, Pdleye will obtain any separate permission or rely upon another lawful basis where permitted by applicable law.
You may object to direct marketing communications at any time.
17. AI Processing
Where you request an AI-enabled feature, the relevant match recording may be processed by automated systems to generate statistics, highlights or analytical outputs.
AI outputs may be inaccurate and are provided as informational features.
Pdleye will not use identifiable match footage for unrelated AI-training purposes where a separate lawful basis or permission would be required.
18. Children and Minors
Additional protections may apply to Personal Data relating to children.
Where a recording involves a minor, the Venue, parent or legal guardian may be required to provide additional consent or authorisation depending on applicable law and the circumstances.
Pdleye may restrict access to, publication of or other processing involving minors where appropriate.
19. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the processing, you may have rights to:
- obtain information about your Personal Data;
- request access to Personal Data;
- request correction of inaccurate Personal Data;
- request deletion where applicable;
- request restriction or cessation of certain processing;
- object to certain processing;
- request transfer of Personal Data where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; and
- complain to the competent authority.
Some rights are subject to statutory exceptions.
Where the Venue is the relevant Controller, Pdleye may forward your request to that Venue or assist the Venue in responding.
20. Requests Relating to a Match Recording
If you request deletion, restriction or information relating to a specific recording, please provide sufficient information for us to identify it, such as:
- Venue;
- court;
- approximate date and time;
- WhatsApp number used;
- private match link or session reference, if available.
We may request reasonable verification before providing access to Personal Data or acting on a request.
21. Personal Data Breaches
Where a Personal Data breach occurs, Pdleye will investigate and take reasonable mitigation steps.
Where notification to a Data Controller, affected individual or competent authority is required by applicable law, the relevant notifications will be made in accordance with those requirements.
22. Third-Party Services
The Service may interact with third-party services such as WhatsApp, payment providers, cloud providers or Venue systems.
Those third parties may process Personal Data under their own terms and privacy policies where they act independently.
Pdleye is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of unrelated third parties.
23. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:
- our Services;
- technology;
- service providers;
- legal requirements; or
- our processing activities.
The current version will be published on our website with the updated date.
